Native American Elder friend who is in the process of dying hands me a cast iron ball, shows me how easy to gently insert a mechanism into a cavity its center like putting ceremonial tobacco into a sacred pipe.. He wants it to make a noise as a traditional courtesy to the people to warn them about coming fireworks. I know it is not intended to be used as a weapon but am afraid it will startle the people.
