So last night I had a dream that I saw my ex girlfriend of 6 months at a restaurant. (Like a Denny's or Red Lobster) I tried to shield my kid brother and direct him passed her but I gave in and started talking to her. She seemed to try and not pay me any attention. Almost annoyed; and she looked different from what I remembered, almost older and a tad bit ugly. (Like an anorexic chain smoker of 40 years look.) It kinda fuzzy but I think I told her that im sorry and that I still loved her and her new Boyfriend who I never met and for some reason was Asian appeared. He didn't say anything just was silent behind her left shoulder. He had this aura about him as if he wanted to fight me. She then began to tell me when I feel the emotional pain, when I cant go any longer when I get so low to the point of me wanting to kill myself, then I will know or understand. O.o I woke up this morning and I was almost late to class. Any help?

I don't remember much, but I do recall that I was sitting in a restaurant with Carolyn, my TA from my queer theory course. It's fuzzy, but I feel like we were talking, laughing, drinking red wine. All of a sudden our conversation seemed to turn serious. Then, out of nowhere we're outside, walking with my professor behind the two of us. My arm is around Carolyn (either affectionately or because she is cold) and we start talking about snow. Everything around us is stark white--the houses, the mailboxes, covered in snow. So, I reach down to make a snowball to throw at her, and the snow, which was once soft-looking, turns out to be hard packing-snow. I try to make a snowball, but I can't, instead grabbing a huge chunk of snow that looks like an anvil, and just stare at it for some time before making a snowball and throwing at her. Meanwhile, she's running away from the snow, laughing, screeching, and the snow ball just seems to follow her into oblivion, ever moving on a straight line.

Laurence: 7-10 most others: About 20 I can't remember much of the first half, so I'll just give you as much as I remember. So there was a girl named laurence, and she didn't know that was her true name yet. (The part of this dream that really bugged me out was the ending, considering it was nightmarish and the rest of the dream was pretty non-nightmarish. But I would like some interpretation on the rest.) Laurence, as we call her now, lived a very normal life from what I can remember, until she went to a building where there were these showers, except they looking really strange... Kind of like a 2pz orbital. So she went there, and met a lot of people, and then there was a giant party. So it was a giant sunny field, and in the middle of it the people Laurence met were standing on the ground next to the deck. There was a bit of music and they were really excited about something. So on the count of three they were all going to jump in the air, except one of them, an African American woman who was quite well endowed, lifted up her shirt to reveal her bra. (I can't remember much here, so I'll skip ahead.) They're now all at a store that's near my dads house, sitting down. This is where it starts to get weird. So the African American woman suddenly is sick, or injured, or something of that nature, and a very pudgy woman shakes her head and says, "Fran, she just had to lift her shirt up." And there's a flash back of the house, except this time when Fran lifts her shirt, her skin underneath starts to rot. Being brought back from the flash back, they're now in the middle of a road. We learn that Laurence thinks her name is Pheobe. So they're on this street, and suddenly this guy comes out of nowhere. (I thought I should tell you that right now I feel like they should be on a ski hill, but I don't remember anything about a ski hill.) He's about fifty, and he has a small dark brown puppy behind him. The puppy turns into a little girl. (Fran is dead, by the way...) she walks over to the pudgy woman and Hugs her legs from behind. They all forget about her and she stays there. So the man starts to talk, and this is another place where everything is fuzzy. I'll give you a summary of pretty much everything I can. So they meet the man again, Pheobe learNs her name is Laurence, and her last name, but I can't remember what it was. they appear at a place with hoses and sprinklers, and then they're back somewhere else. They man shows up many more times, giving Laurence many things to think about and advice, and I think he acts horribly to her a few times, and says things that confuse her. Her says he is her dad, and then I can't remember much after that. I'll just get to the ending now, because it's the strangest part. So Laurence is suddenly at the top of the stairs of what appears to be a shop of some sort, and she is wearing old time clothing, from around 1800. Everything is that way. As she goes down the stairs she says, "Oh great, ____, because of you we're at the house of that horrible old man." When she walks down the stairs, she gasps, because sure enough, he is there. Except... Now instead of being frightened or sad, or even angry, she feels trust. She sees him walking around the room in a peculiar way, and follows him. They walk behind a table, and he starts to mumble something to her that she can't here. After walking around the room, she has asked countless times what he is saying, he finally just points up the stairs, Shoves his face in front of hers, and screams something. Just underneath his chin, subtitles appear that say "SatanSatan" without any spaces. What he actually said was "SATAN CHILD, SATAN!". She hears footsteps from the stairs and imagines Satan with the little girl by his side, the one had turned into a puppy. (Throughout the dream, Laurence had turned into a blonde puppy, And sometimes I would be watching the dream as though she had pushed me down, and I saw Laurence puppy as though it were a kaleidoscope.) She never actually sees this man referred to as "Satan", Only imagines him, although he knows the little girl would be standing next to him. She hides under a chair, and that's when I woke up. I usually have dreams like this, my dreams are rarely about me and if they are I am altered in some way. Usually physically, such as in some dreams I am older, (About 15-17, although my real age is 12) In some dreams I have black hair, in some I have animal ears or am stronger, and recently, if I actually end up sleeping through the night, it will be an intense nightmare. I had two of these, I'll add links to them when I write them. As a question. Thanks in advance to anyone who answers, and I apologize for this being so long and I'm sorry if I left out anything important. 14 hours ago - 3 days left to answer.

I fell asleep at roughly 11:15 on Monday, which was much later than usual. I am wondering if the odd dream I had was in any way attributed to the disruption of my sleeping patterns. Perhaps as I recall these dreams over time, I will be able to conjure up something resembling an answer. Every once in awhile, there will be something that makes me fall in love with the human mind all over again—dreams are one of those things. They are the pictures I wish I could see with my mind in a conscious state. First of all, I don’t remember the dream in its entirety, and the parts I do remember are fuzzy and difficult to recall in details great or small. Before going to bed, I remember feeling embarrassed because I had fudged the name of my favorite Dodos album. I like being right—not in the obnoxious way that makes me correct everyone all the time, but in the way that makes me feel silly when I make mistakes. Trudging forward, I had asked a friend, Kaveh, what his all-time favorite album was. I knew what it was the first time we were friends, but I wanted to see if time had changed his answer. In my days at Purdue, my favorite way to talk to someone new was to ask him or her about music. Naturally, one of our first conversations, and probably the only one that I remember so clearly, started with the same question on which our communication ended last night. Back then it was Beep Beep’s “Business Casual,” which, as it turns out, hasn’t changed. The funny thing about “all-time favorites,” is that I don’t think people understand that the “all-time” makes their response very important since this is, essentially, the end all be all of your favorite _____________. My mind is scattered, and so it is only appropriate that the writing of my thoughts follow suit. Back to my dream, though. As I mentioned, the details are quite difficult to recall. They enter into the visual part of my mind in little snippets, like in movies when there are flashbacks that are supposed to all of a sudden bring you to this great understanding. I have not reached this understanding yet. I remember the overall color of the dream was blue—it was almost like there was a blue neon sign outside the window of the room I called “bedroom.” I remember being aware that the apartment that I was in was one that I lived in previously, during my time at Purdue. The carpet was the same, I remember that much. The layout of the room, though, was entirely different. A much smaller version of where I once lived. My bed was near the window and it was raining. My blankets were like white, fluffy clouds. I like to think that it was the white pillowy down comforter I have always wanted. At least in my dreams I am comfortable. It was raining outside, which I enjoyed when I found upon coming back to reality that it actually was raining. In the dream it was raining big, full drops. The beads of water made a beautiful pattern on the window—I remember admiring them. I have always loved watching rain on windows. When I was little, I used to sit in the recliner by the window in our living room and pretend the drops of water were racing each other. I didn’t have many friends. That’s beside the point. I remember feeling like I was having a conversation with someone, but I was alone. The next sequence of events is most likely out of order. Maybe as I read over them upon completion I will notice what needs to be rearranged. I noticed that my phone lit up. This part, I think, was brought on by the fact that prior to actually falling asleep, I had texted someone and fell asleep before getting a response. In my dream, it was Kaveh (it was in the world of consciousness as well). It related vaguely to what we were talking about before I drifted off, but there was something unrelated to what we were discussing. I don’t remember what the extra part was, but I remember enjoying it. The details here are quite fuzzy, and at this point the dream skipped around a lot. Maybe I was drifting in and out of sleep; maybe my mind is telling me not to remember. I often times think that our rational minds are waging war with their emotional counterparts. At the dream’s conclusion, or really just the last part that I remember before waking up, it was still raining quite a bit—I think that it had picked up significantly. There was lightning, which made the room light up for fractions of a second. I couldn’t see very well because of the flashing light. I felt confused. There was someone in my bed, but I don’t know who it was. I gave them a hug before they ended up there—a friendly hug that makes me think it was someone I already knew. I can’t recall their face.

In my dream I was sitting in my AP Biology classroom, except there were different people in my class and it wasn't the same room. We had a substitute teacher and he wasn't a very good one. He didn't teach us anything and we were just sitting around talking. I was talking to my lab partner when all of a sudden this kid named John, who I've known for a couple of years but haven't talked to recently, came over and kissed me on the top of the head. I woke up feeling warm, fuzzy and very confused. What does this mean?

In my yard A saw medium size snake that rezembulls a python, it was tan with black triangles. I started to walk past it when it began chasing me, I was trying to run away. I was coming up to the car, and I fell behind it. The snake came up and I for some reason stuck my right fist out at it, and the snake bit my right fist. It sunk it's teeth in. but before it could bit me anylonger some boy from atop of the car yelled and stuck out his hand for me to grab, and pulled me up, he fell from pulling me to hard and landed on the ground where the snake was I yelled his name an picked him up. We began running from the snake, the snake was gaining on us and I was holding that boy in my arms but I think he was the same age as me. Then I was at the hospital and for some reason I knew the boy ether was okay. And I was getting checked in but my mind was fuzzy and my eyes hurt and my head hurt too, and I wanted to go to sleep.

Okay. So I walked into my grandpa's house. He died recently in real life. and he always sat in the same chair when we came to visit. and when i walked inside I saw him, and I kept walking through the house. Then, suddenly i realized what I had just seen. I ran back into the room where I had seen him and he was standing waiting for me. I embraced him and I started crying. I was so happy to see him. then as i started to walk through the house with him, i stumbled upon my mom. I was so excited to tell her what I had discovered. Grandpa was alive again! or at least visiting us from heaven. but this part of the dream gets a little fuzzy- Somehow as I'm telling my mom about grandpa, grandpa turns into my dad. and we're talking about my dad. talking about how my dad and mom met and got married and what not. Then i woke up.
