I was traveling through the Middle East, a rare sight of a woman alone with her children. Everywhere we went, small children with large, dark, haunted eyes would watch my son and daughter as they laughed easily, teased each other and tried to talk to one another in Arabic from a small red phrasebook. One day we sat on a hot, dusty, crowded train. As the vista flashed by outside the window, a young boy, close to the same age as my son, sat across from us with his father. He watched quietly, seriously, as my children giggled, poked at one another and pointed out goats, mountains and beautiful rolling dunes awash in browns, soft pinks and ochers. My daughter turned to the boy and spoke a short phrase to him - "Hello; how are you?" - and suddenly he smiled, huge brown eyes lighting up and his face transformed into that of a beautiful and carefree young man. He began to answer when his father, eyes flashing, gave him a sharp reprimand in the universal language that every parent understands, the tone conveying words I understood in a language I could not. The boy cast his eyes downward. I looked at the man and attempted his language. "I'm sorry and it is not my business yet...why is it not alright for our children to speak with one another?" He looked at me and, with a small sigh, said "Our children are not the same." I said, "We are not wealthy people; you have no reason to dislike us." He barked a short laugh and said, "You, wealthy? You have riches. We -" he pointed at his breast, "we have wealth. We have the wealth that comes from true knowledge of our Creator, of our thousands of years of history, of our struggles. Of our losses. Of our families, of our heritage, of our culture. Your children have riches. Riches of the promise of a future. My son has wealth. But the promise of a future...?" He raised his arms heavenward in a fatalistic gesture and slowly turned his head to look out the window of the train. His proud face looked resigned yet strangely at peace. I woke up with tears running down my face.

I was hunting a female killer. We were supposed to take a picture of her. When we finally got one, my members ran away from me and I was left to fight with her alone. I put her in cold water. Suddenly, the angel of death appeared. He said "It is your time." I pointed to me skeptically asking if it was my time. "No." he said. "Hers." He pointed to the killer. "No!" The killer screamed. She was just a ghost now. Agitated, she ran away. Forever she will roam the lands without anyone seeing her or her bringing any more deaths.

My two daughters and a group of friends went swimming in the ocean. When they returned I noticed that my youngest daughter was not with them. When I asked where she was and didn't get an immediate response I said, "She's drowning! You have to go back for her!" They replied, "No, she's not. She's getting engaged!" Then my youngest daughter drove up with a young man, but instead of it being the man she is seeing now it was her ex- boyfriend . She came into the house and showed me her engagement ring, which was 14k gold, but with a very petite diamond set into a rosebud setting. I could tell she was disappointed in the ring, but I told her it was beautiful. She said I am going to get two diamond eternity bands to wear on either side of it, but I could tell she was still disappointed in it and very unsure about whether or not she should marry this man. She then stated that she planned to wait four years before they married.

I was sitting on my bed in my dorm with some others in the room when my current crush rushed in and started making out with me. he dragged me out of the room to his so we could be alone. his room was crowded with furniture and was too small for the four beds to fix comfortably. we started to make out again but then his friends entered the room. then he was sitting on his bed with a female friend of his and she asked if he wanted a girlfriend , and he said no because he had been hurt too much already. so i decided to leave and as he shut the door he said "see ya later" and i said the same back, but i felt defeated, dissapointed, and embarrassed.
