I am in a large, turn of the century house. I wander through it, looking for someone, but I can't remember who - or who owns the house. The dream is vivid. I can hear chickens, smell dust and mustiness in rarely used spaces, I can pick up and examine objects (many of which I remember from somewhere. These things are detailed, often personal, lovely but I can't remember who they belong to or if they might have been mine at that time somehow), I can feel the heat of the fire in the stove and delight at using the water pump in the summer kitchen. It all feels familiar as I search the house up to the attic and then down (very steep, narrow stairs to that attic!) When I get to the cellar door in the kitchen, I start to feel foreboding - but compelled to keep searching. As I go down the stairs to the cellar, I can identify the coal shed door, on old cast iron heater of some kind and another door. I look through the cellar, open the door to the coal shed and then approach the other door. It is identifiably different or out of place but I can't pin down exactly how it is different or what makes it out of place. I do "know" that I am strongly compelled to open it - and too terrified to. Extreme dread and foreboding when I reach for that doorknob usually wake me - sometimmes screaming. I have wakened my family peiodically through my life with this. I can't remember the first time I had the dream but I've had it throughout my life. It tends to leave me very nervous and unsettled, sometimes for days.

I was on a very large ship with family and friends. I was asking my stepdaughter how she was feeling (she had a miscarriage days ago) she said I had a clunky watch. I said what do you mean? And she said it’s when you wear a watch that’s too big and it’s backwards. I looked down and it was. I don’t normally wear a watch. Then, we’re all trying to get seats to watch a show and I fell overboard. Not even sure who noticed, but the ocean was incredibly deep and dark blue and I kept going further down. I was afraid of not being able to get back to the surface because of the depth and that the ship was getting so much further away. Then I woke.

After being given a tour of a work place and abusing the free Nescafé at the surprise and shock of my friend Rebecca, we decide to meet up with a friend outside. There are a lot of people moving outside so it is crucial to find each other later. Me and my sister? Go to pee. I ask her to text our third friend cause I can't find the number in my phone. We find a caravan settlement and my sister begins to rearrange their stuff because she thinks they trashed the place by dumping trash . The man is mad when he discovers this. My sister ends up working for him and cutting off the horns of a bull as a gift to him. The horns turn out to be full of gold. We get to keep the second one. The man and his wife are like our parents now.

I’m trying to walk in a big city but all the buildings are moving around and changing into all sorts of shapes so I can’t go anywhere. While this is happening, I can feel myself tossing and turning in my bad to try and escape the dream but I just can't open my eyes. I keep tossing and turning but I’m going nowhere in my dream and I still can’t open my eyes and I start to cry. I can hear myself crying and can feel the tears streaming down my face but I still can’t get out of this dream. This goes on for quite a while until I finally get my eyes open and I sit up, still crying.
