It's the zombie apocalypse, I know that much. In the beginning, we're in the car, and it's a sudden switch back to home. A laughing voice tells of a problems, and come to see there are holes rotten through the floor, while the carpet still covers. There's no way of telling where it is we'll fall to our doom. It's like a sadistic game, and we do what we can to find the bad spots. My mother, she points out something about the carpet beneath a chair in the dining room, and the carpet wears away to the touch, opening up a gaping hole to a fall that would most likely result in death. I woke with a start, terrified and finding it hard to breathe.

Planes were supposed to bomb the border of two cities in California in order to keep them apart. The bomb had the potential to kill everyone in California so my family and I were in our house trying to stay low and covered. Then we got a phone call saying the bombing was canceled. I went to school the next day and it was lunch time. I was with one of my friends and the schools alarm went off saying the bombing was back on and it was going happen soon. I left my backpack in the quad so I told my friend to go into the cafeteria and I would meet her in there. I came back and the whole cafeteria was barred off. I sat at a table outside and hung out with other friends. There were a lot of kids just hanging out like nothing was happening. My friend was sending me snap chats of the cafeteria and she told me to come in but I told her it was locked. Then a security guard went into the building so I followed him. Then I realized I left my backpack on the table outside and my phone was in it. There was no way to get out either without a guard but they don't allow students in or out. I waited, then a guard opened the door but there were too many people to see so u laid on the ground and looked out through peoples feet to find my backpack. I had my friend hold the door and I got it and we both went back into the cafeteria.

I often dream vivid dreams. Last night I was swimming in the ocean, alone, far from shore but with it still in sight. In the distance, a jet came into view. The closer it came to me, the more I could see that it was going to crash. Out of control, the jet ambled towards me. I had nowhere to go, no way to escape. I felt certain it was going to attempt a water landing with me in its path. I was left only to pray, and watch. It came closer and closer. Flying low, I dove underwater as it approached, fighting to go deeper. The plane squealed loudly as it skimmed the surface of the water above me. I could look up and see its belly scratching and clawing the surface above. The sound was deafening, a collective terrorizing shout of fear of the hundreds of nameless faces inside I could not see. As the plane skid past me, and with my lungs empty and crying for air, I fought with every muscle in my body aching to break back to the top and breathe again. I made it just in time, looking over my shoulder with weak but effusive pants just in time to see the plane bellow into the giant beachside hotel buildings, destroying them on impact with a deafening blow that echoed for miles. The anticipated explosion followed. I spent the next few minutes back underwater hiding and looking up as debris fell and tattered my surroundings forming a blanket that sought to drown me. Treading water moments later, the once peaceful ocean was littered and trashed with fiery scraps of metal, junk and torn body parts. I rescued a drowning boy and his sister. They were maybe five. Twins. Crawling onto the beach with the boy and the girl on my back, wringing to my neck, I laid them down. They were alive, whoever they were. I woke up.

I had ended up on an island somehow, and there was no way I could see off of this island, and I could not see any land for a long ways. There were other people on this island. They had a leader, who seemed to me to be evil, although everyone happily did what he said. I felt some sort of connection to him, although never meeting him face to face in this dream. The people on the island walked out onto a sort-of bridge. They went single-file, taking one step at a time, all at the exact same time. They would do this until they went insane, at which point they would fall to the side, into the water, where they would drown and meet their death. I was afraid and ran from this, hoping to find some way off of the island. That's when the dream ended and I woke up.
