I was at a pep rally in the glenn campus building like always. Except there was a giant climbing toy like the kind you find at a fast food restaurant replacing the stage. There were many children in this tall foam and cage building, it looked more indestructible than the regular ones. There was this man who looked like a ringmaster coming into the gym who was stopped by my spanish teacher but as he stepped forward his eyes flashed a different color then the teacher came forward to introduce him. “This is Howard the ringmaster. He will be giving a performance with members from the audience.” Howard’s eyes flashed a different color, blue shade, and the spanish teacher looked confused but just walked back to where he was standing before. I thought that it was strange how his eyes changed but I thought it was just the trick of the light. “I need a volunteer from the audience. Someone from this front row? Howard said. He pointed to the girl next to me and she came up. “Now most people think that all the things I do here are pre - planned and fake. I can assure you that this person has no idea that she would be picked today. I want to show that many people can do the most extraordinary things. You just got to have the will, practice, and ability. Most people don’t put enough effort into this but I can make people use these extremely well and get them to do their special talent however I want. I can control how these people act. Sarah, I will show this on you first.” His eyes flashed again a more greenish shade and a smile grew across Sarah’s face. She bent backward and did about twenty backflips across the floor and landed perfectly. Then she did a cartwheel back to her seat. Howard’s eyes turned a brilliant blue and Sarah’s smile faded and she looked very confused. “What just happened. All I remember is being picked by that guy.” I thought this was strange and started to think about this guy. He was completely new to this school and the trick he did was almost like hypnosis. He did the same thing with a couple more people each presenting a different talent. He last came to me and I didn’t want to stand up. He glared at me and a flash of green appeared. Suddenly I felt at ease. I didn’t care about anything except doing what Howard said. It was like all my worries had faded away and all I had to do was let him do the work. I suddenly was back in my chair and I didn’t know how I got there. A burning was on my wrist. A circle, one half green and one half blue, like Howards eyes in the trick, and then I knew this was no trick, it was magic. He picked one more person to come up then I woke up.

I was at the Valentine's Day dance. I went into the MSAB and went into the bathroom. There was something strange about the lights but I went to the bathroom anyway. I was very stressed out about something. When I opened the stall door Bill was there. He had a purple fedora and ruffly scarf that were floating around him. I asked, “What are you doing with those items.” “Oh nothing, I just have an offer that might satisfy us both. You see I need someone to put this hat and scarf on, which hold the power of luck. Everything will go well for you in the next 24 hours. I said, “I don't want to make any deals with you. There's always a catch.” He said, “Are you sure about that? Don't you have many weights that you are dying to get off your shoulders. Plus these do go good with your dress. All you have to do is seal the deal with a handshake.” I hesitated but held his hand firmly and started to grab for the hat and scarf. “Wait”, said Bill, “Let me put it on for you, as a favor for something later.” “Ok?”, I said. As he looped the scarf around my mind whirled and suddenly Bill's image flashed before my eyes. I felt tingly and weird. I tried to get up but could not move. “What happened?” I said. My lips moved as if someone else was controlling them and Bill's voice came loud and clear, “Oh ,Anna! Guess who's still here!” Dang it I knew this was a trap. My body started to move as if it was someone elses. “Why are you always so persuasive? How can you trick everyone?”, I said. “Relax kid I promise to keep up my end of l the bargain. You just got to do your end of it and get me what I need.” “What is it that you need? Why do you need me? Couldn’t you just go where ever you want and do your thing?” “You see I can’t just go where ever I want. Some places I can’t even reach without tricking someone like you to get it for me. I need to get to this room in the ride they brought outside the school for the dance, you know the one. It says employees only on the door, but thats just so people don’t go in. If you can help me get you there I will leave you with the hat and scarf. They actually work but only if you put them on yourself.” I just agreed and suddenly we started to walk towards the doors to the outside. The ride was simple but indoors. We hopped into a cart where my friends were. “Hey. We were wondering where you were. Hope this ride is good.” I was about to tell them about Bill but in the back of my mind he told me to act normal and he would do the rest. “Yeah I heard this ride is supposed to be okay. Its not the best though. Theres this part where you can get off and go through a door and there is more fun stuff there. It says employees only but thats just to keep people out. Want to go?” They hesitated but decided to go along. I just sat there and let Bill do the work. We got to the door, which was near a fork in the ride. I got out with my friends. “Are you sure we should go in there? This isn’t like you. Usually you would just ride the ride like everyone else.” I started to speak but then changed my mind about something and said, “Okay its not true about the fun on the other side of that door. The truth is Bill and I made a deal in the bathroom that he would help me with the stuff I have to do if I wore this hat and scarf. He tricked me and now he is using my body to get to this place. I don’t know what's in there I just know he wants to get in there.” They stared at me but said nothing. I said, “Come on Bill. You can talk now. I won’t do what you want unless you show yourself.” “Alright fine, stop being so persuasive. Now I know how you feel.” Bill said. My friends were shocked but just walked toward the door. Right before my hand moved to open the door Bill spoke again, “I guess were parting ways. You keep the hat and scarf. Actually no, you probably don’t want them. They don’t even work, it was all a trick. I’ll see you later!” Right before the hat and scarf flew off I woke up.

We were driving in his Jeep. It was dark and we were talking. We were driving down the back roads and we saw a big beautiful house, the size of a mansion to the right. The Jeep started to make a strange noise and shut off. He pulled to the side and tried calling a tow service but we had no signals. We decided to walk to the to house. He asked if we could use the phone and the older lady said yes. We followed her as the 3 ladies walked behind us. He grabbed my hand and whispered to me to stay close. We went though a few hallways and ended up in this big room. I heard a thumping noise coming from upstairs. I asked him if he heard it and he said yes. She pointed to the phone and he tried to call out. I heard them thumping noise again. And I asked the ladies what that noise was. They said it was the house. The phone was not working so he told them we would be on our way. But the older lady insisted we stay a bit longer. There was something about the way she looked that made him grab me and pull me behind him. He told them again we were going to leave and walk to the next house. The 3 younger ladies started to act weird and creepy cornering us. He yelled for me to run but I did not want to leave him. He then screamed at me to run and get out. I ran and the older lady tried to grab me. I looked back and saw them attacking him. The older lady ran after me but I got lost running through all the hallways. I needed up in a wide hallways with many doors. I heard the thumping again. It was coming from one of the rooms. I ran to the room and opened the door. A girl was in chains and gagged. I ran to her and she was telling me we have to get out of here. I heard the older lady coming down the hall. I closed the door and tried to keep her out as long as I could. I heard the other 3 coming down the hall. They pushed open the door and I fell down. They grabbed me and when I saw there faces I screamed because they were frightening. They knocked me out. When I wake up, I am wearing a ball gown and one of the younger ladies is doing my hair and makeup. I keep asking were he is and she tells me he left me there to say himself. I tell her she is lying as tears roll down my face and my heart sinks. They put me on this stage with this other girl and we just walk around being video taped. Days go by and this is all we do. As we are walking past a room I see his shoes and tell me that those are his shoes. They yell at me and say that those are someone else’s shoes but I know they are his. I tell them he is here and he never left me. I wanted to know where they were hiding him. She just laughed and threw me in the room. I screamed I am going to find him. The other girl came a hugged me but looked at me with sad eyes. She told it was going to be ok. A younger woman came in the room later that night that I have never seen before. She told me that he was still here but he was dead. I called her a liar. She told me she would show me where he was. He took me to this room that was outside. There were cement slabs as the floor. She pointed to one and I went over there and removed the slab. There was a wide tube with this watery liquid. I put my arms in it and felt his head. I went down farther and got under his arms and pulled with all my strength. His eyes were closed and he was not breathing. I lunged at her began slamming her repeatedly on the ground. I wanted to kill her. The older lady came in a pushed me to the ground. I crawled back to him and tried to wake him up. I cried and cried begging him to wake up because we had to escape. I could here both ladies laughing at me. It got louder and louder. I held you and screamed. Then I woke up screaming and started crying.
