There was a large wall around downtown, and the city itself was secure. People were going about their regular daily lives. Anyone who fell ill or committed crimes were pushed out the front gate into infected territory. I watched a family push their coughing teenage daughter into infected land, and they were showing no signs of sadness or remorse.
