Large old house we moved in to, needs a lot of renovations/repair

I dreamed of renovation of my present home. Bigger rooms with extra space. A home much more beautiful than my present home.

Dreamt that I was in a vehicle with a stranger, where he dropped me off near a construction site. It was an unrecognizable man where he left, then I took control of the car and drove ahead. The car changed from a white sedan to a black truck. Here I noticed hitting the breaks but was faulty. There was no accident though the car had troubles. The car was moving in a forward direction. As I left the car, I noticed two of my co-workers were there. There was a series of two buildings, one that was repositioned maybe due to weather, the other had troubles but was being fixed, like a renovation. My feeling in the dream was that I was being cautious, and aware of my surroundings. I felt like there was some danger around me though I was spared.
