I saw my mother and I driving. then the car became an airplane flying over land and sea.
Dream of mom, mother
I am running through the woods along with others. I stand on a big rock and am seen by a shooter and shot in the back. I fall and then am helped to a home where my mom is there taking care of me. A while into the dream I find that my mother has been shot four times and it makes me very sad that she has not told me and instead was helping me and not helping herself.

Freud claimed that this represented a boy’s incestuous desire for his mother and jealousy towards his father. Similarly Electra desired her father and was jealous of her mother. A girl may therefore unconsciously believe that she has been castrated by her mother and is now an incomplete male. According to Freud this gives rise to ‘penis-envy’, which is one of the root causes of women’s feelings of inferiority.
